I love big media reviews of independent shows at big venues:
Slint reunion a precious, oddly powerful mix
Is it just that they don't understand the enormity of this? Do they not understand really creative things? Does everything have to be "on the market", money making, and quickly digested? I don't understand.
Again, maybe I've listened to more Slint than the reviewer.
Seems to me, the Chicago media is a bit jaded. I guess I never understand reviews that pan a show, after 1100 people are riveted by it. Oh well. They'll never understand, and I guess, that's ok.
